Lake County Health Department All-Vax Senior Call Center Hours
The Lake County Health Department provides support for COVID-19 vaccine registration through its AllVax Support Center, Mondays-Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. by phone at (847) 377-8130, and by email at AllVax@lakecountyil.gov.
Recently, additional volunteers were added to take calls from Lake County residents age 65 and older during special senior hours:
Tuesdays: Noon to 3 p.m.
Thursdays: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Fridays: Noon to 3 p.m.
During the hours listed above, seniors calling (847) 377-8130 can select option 1 to be routed to a volunteer. Because vaccine supply is very limited at this time, and demand is high, volunteers at the call center cannot schedule or expedite appointments. However, they can help people register and answer questions about the process. If you leave a voicemail when you call, a volunteer will call you back.

ELDERCARE COVID-19 POLICY
The health, safety and welfare of each care receiver, volunteer and employee of ElderCARE as well as our community is a high priority for ElderCARE. The pandemic situation is evolving and dynamic so our response to it may change as circumstances dictate.
We think that it is in the best interest of our community to encourage our care receivers, volunteers and staff to receive the Covid 19 vaccine. You can learn more about the available vaccines from the CDC, Lake County Health Department and many health care organizations.
We understand that getting the vaccine is a personal choice that we respect. Based on current information, we understand that getting the vaccine does not necessarily prevent someone from being infected with the virus, but will reduce the symptoms for the vaccinated person.
Since it is a personal choice for each care receiver and volunteer, the vaccination is not required to give or receive ElderCARE services. ElderCARE will not keep records on who is or who isn’t vaccinated. However, please feel free to share your Covid vaccine/status with each other before services are initiated.
We do ask that if a care receiver or volunteer is diagnosed with or believes that he or she may have the virus that they follow the CDC guidelines and quarantine the required number of days. If the care receiver/volunteer tests positive and has volunteered within the past 7 days, please contact ElderCare immediately.
ElderCare requires care receivers and volunteers to wear masks when delivering food, during transportation and or during visits.
We appreciate your understanding and compliance with these guidelines.
From the ElderCARE Board
